Learning and Living in the 21st Century is a series of work texts in Home Economics and Livelihood Education for Grades 7 and 8. The context of this series complies with the curriculum prescribed by the Department of Education under its new K to 12 program. The series is geared toward the realization of the learning standard of DepEd that every Grade 7 and 8 student is expected to demonstrate. These learning standards involve the acquisition of basic knowledge, skills, values and attitudes (KSVA) in the four areas of studies namely: ICT and Entrepreneurship. Agricultural Arts, Home Economics, and Industrial Arts — all of which are aimed toward improving the self, the family and the community.
